Highlight of the day: This week, Eric has been imitating every word and every action from everyone he knows. He’s learned how to repeat sounds, words, and gestures.

He also had his first bout of sore / red eyes. Daddy said that he noticed a few children as well as the caretakers at the childcare centre looked like they had it too. Therefore, Eric is staying at kampung in Tuaran until the end of the week, as Mommy and Daddy will be out to celebrate their 2nd anniversary of marriage.

Highlight of the day: Eric is now 1 year and 2 months old. Anyways, three exciting stuff happened last weekend.

Let me start with the less exciting first. Eric got a haircut, so it’s back to being bald again for him. He can’t help but look cute, though. So when I sent him to daycare the next day, everyone got excited with his new look.

The other cool thing that happened was that he now knows how to say “No” very clearly. He started saying that last Sunday. Whenever he does that, he’ll go “no, no, no” and shakes his head. It’s just so adorable!

One surprise I got was during All Souls’ Day. Eric is very close to his grandma because she spoils him so. So one time, when my mom passed him to me to carry while she went off to do some errands, he looked back towards her and called out “Nenek!” (it’s the Malay version of Grandma). I was so surprised!

Eric’s a quick learner. Can’t wait to see what else he can do. I’m so proud of him.

Highlight of the day: Eric is down with a fever since yesterday. It was worse last night, which kept me awake almost the entire night. Thank goodness, Eric’s granny (my mom) was able to babysit him the whole day today. I can finally catch up on my sleeping before he comes back this evening.

Also, yesterday, my mom got her first dose of a separation-anxious Eric when she dropped him by the daycare centre. As usual, his bawling made my mom feel guilty about not being able to babysit him that day; nevertheless she made it up to Eric by babysitting today. Thank God for good timing.

Highlight of the day: For the past month or so, Eric has been aware of his skills of pulling out his charms and throwing temper tantrums to get what he wants. I hope I won’t spoil him too much.

Highlight of the day: Yes, it’s been quite a while since the last blog! However, this doesn’t mean that nothing exciting or interesting happened. Eric finally had his vaccinations follwed up after a 6-month delay, no thanks to his forgetful parents. Since there was a delay, Eric had to endure 2 shots instead of just one shot which was for his MMR. My heart never fails to cringe when he cries out of pain, but, of course it is for everyone’s benefit for him to take the shot. We compensated with having a wonderful lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant called Pho 76.

We spent the whole morning waiting in the paediatric’s clinic because there were surprisingly so many people there. I only managed to send him to the daycare centre in the afternoon; therefore, by the time he was picked up, he was snoozing his way through the night.
